PASTOR ANTOINE LEE
Antoine Lee is the Senior Pastor of Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) located in the metropolitan area of Kansas City, Missouri. Central Christian Church (DOC) has a ministry legacy that spans over one hundred and twenty five years. Before Rev. Lee became the Pastor, Central Christian Church suffered from an aging membership, and the lack of ministry initiatives. Today Central is among the list of “comeback churches” in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Rev. Lee has been instrumental in helping Central transition into a more contemporary ministry methodology, while maintaining its core traditional values. Under the leadership of Rev. Antoine Lee “Central” is poised to continue its legacy well into the twenty first century.
Antoine Lee began his academic career at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia where he studied Business and Theology. He completed his undergraduate work at Park University, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Business Administration and Finance. Rev. Lee went on to achieve a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Park University, and also earned a Master of Divinity Degree (M.Div.) from Central Baptist Theological Seminary.
Rev. Lee has spent a significant portion of his professional career as a bi-vocational minister. He climbed ranks in corporate enterprise and ultimately became the President of LMB Commercial, a commercial real estate lending company. After his tenure in corporate enterprise, Rev. Lee worked as the Lead Business Instructor and Campus Director at Wright Career College in Overland Park, Kansas. Rev. Lee is currently is the Lead Business Instructor for Kansas Christian College of Overland Park, Kansas.As an extension of his pastoral ministry, Antoine Lee serves the community as the Chair of the Historical East Neighborhoods Coalition (HENC.org). HENC consist of eleven neighborhood associations, local congregations, and community business stakeholders. The coalition addresses the needs of the neighborhoods located on the east side of Kansas City’s urban core. He is also the Vice President of MOKAN, a fellowship of churches within the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ denomination in the Missouri and Kansas bi-state area. As a member of MOKAN, Rev. Lee gives leadership to the Associate Ministers Institute (AMI) of Greater Kansas City; a ministry of the Disciples of Christ Greater Kansas City Region. AMI provides impactful educational opportunities on a continuous basis for laity religious leaders. In 2021 Mr. Lee received a gubernatorial appointment to serve as a commissioner for the Missouri Public Charter School Commission (MPCSC).
Antoine Lee has been recognized as a community champion by both the Koinonia group of the Seven Oaks neighborhood and by the Boston Heights Neighborhood Association. Antoine Lee has been a keynote speaker for the National Convocation of the Christian Church (DOC) along with several other organizations.
Rev. Lee considers these achievements “the minor things.” It is his devotion to God and family he deems most important. He is the proud husband of Kesha Lee and father of three children; Xzhavion, KeShaun, and Amiyah. Antoine’s relationship with God, his love for his family, coupled with his academic qualifications, professional experience, and community service has given him an incredible insight that can minister to people of all walks of life.
