ABOUT US
Central's history expands over one hundred and twenty years. The Church was established in 1889. The current location, on the southeast corner of Linwood Blvd. and Cleveland Ave., was developed in 1945. Today, we are a growing congregation with a desire to serve as a beacon of hope in the surrounding community. We embrace diversity and welcome various expressions of praise and worship. Our congregation has a warm-loving spirit that is humble, but eager to show affection toward visitors and new members. Our Pastor is an exceptional leader and dynamic preacher with a passion for ministry.

Our vision is to be an authentic representation of Jesus Christ in the world by being a beacon of hope in the community in which we exist. It is our vision to be a faithful, growing church that demonstrates true community, deep Christian spirituality and a passion for justice.

We exist in the heart of Kansas City’s urban area. Our community consists of people from all walks of life. Thus, our congregation is multi-generational. We recognize that every member of our community is in need of God’s love. It is our desire to play a part in ushering people into a healthy relationship with God.
